SHUBHSHREE'S UNPLANNED ARTISTRY: HER CREATIVE PROCESS
Shubhshree views art as an organic and unplanned manifestation of her inner world rather than a carefully planned project. She calls herself a “compulsive doodler,” compelled by an ongoing desire to produce. Her work combines linguistic and visual elements to give the banal features of her environment some vitality. A pair of worn-out bathroom slippers or the mango tree in Shubhshree’s backyard serve as the inspiration for her works of art. PURSUING EDUCATION AND DREAMS
Shubhshree studied at the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Mumbai, and worked towards her Masters in Design. Her academic career is proof of her commitment to developing her trade and broadening her creative horizons. In addition to being a skilled visual storyteller, Shubhshree is a committed student who is always looking for new methods to develop her artistic skills.
POETRY, ART, AND OTHER PURSUITS
The range of Shubhshree’s artistic endeavors goes beyond picture-based narrative. She enjoys reading a lot and finds comfort in the written word, especially poetry. The tragic dramatic monologue is her personal favorite since it enables her to explore complex feelings and stories. In addition to writing, Shubhshree enjoys drawing, painting, and scribbling, which further displays her artistic talent.
DEVELOPING FOR THE FUTURE
The influence of Shubhshree Mathur extends beyond her own sense of artistic fulfillment. In the area of early childhood education, she has contributed her artistic skills by working on a project with the Department of Human Development at SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai. She has been instrumental in the concept development, illustration, content creation, and book layout for a collection of 12 picture books aimed at youngsters between the ages of 4-6.
